My story

Hi there! My name is Picabo, and I’m a 2-year-old, 61-pound Great Dane-Catahoula Leopard Dog mix. Not only am I a big, beautiful girl, but I’m also incredibly photogenic—I even seem to smile for pictures! If you’re looking for a stunning pup who’s always ready for a photoshoot, I might just be the perfect match for you.I’m a playful and affectionate girl with a lot of love to give. I get along great with male dogs, but I’d prefer to be the only female pup in the home. I haven’t been tested with cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them. When it comes to people, I get along great with all ages. I do well with kids over 12 and the elderly, but I get so excited to greet my favorite humans that I tend to jump up and give big, happy hugs—so a home without anyone with balance concerns would be best.I’m highly intelligent, food-motivated, and eager to please, which makes training a breeze. I already know how to walk nicely on a leash, I load up easily into a car, and I ride like a pro. I also know how to use a doggie door and prefer to do my business outside like the well-mannered lady I am. Most of the time, I’m quiet and observant, but I’m always paying attention—so I’d make a fantastic guard dog, keeping my home and my people safe. While I love to run and play, I also have a snuggly side. There’s nothing better than curling up on the couch with my favorite people for a good cuddle session. I’m the best of both worlds—playful and energetic when it’s time for fun, but also sweet and affectionate when it’s time to relax. If you’re looking for a loyal, intelligent, and loving companion who will be your adventure buddy, cuddle partner, and personal supermodel all in one, then I might just be the dog for you! Come meet me today—I can’t wait to find my forever home! 🐾💕 You can also call the shelter at 479-394-5682 for any other questions.****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home.Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known.Adoption Fees:-$60 for cats-$60 for dogs over 6 years-$80 for dogs 6 months old to 6 years-$100 for puppies up to 6 monthsCome visit our pets Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-2pm.
