My story

Meet Wren, a 2-year-old, 43-pound brindle beauty with a heart as soft as her velvet coat. Wren has blossomed into a loving, playful, and incredibly sweet companion in her foster home. She’s cat-friendly—completely unfazed by her two feline roommates, even when they throw a few swats her way! While the shelter recommended she be the only dog, Wren has done well walking alongside other dogs on leash and may do fine with slow, thoughtful introductions. Wren is the perfect mix of relaxed and playful, enjoying backyard time, neighborhood walks, and snuggling on the couch with one paw always touching her person. She is fully house-trained and crate-trained with zero accidents, sleeps peacefully on her dog bed, and can be left alone without a single chewed item—she’s non-destructive and well-mannered. Wren already knows `sit` and is working on more commands; her love for treats makes training easy (though she may need a gentle reminder to take them politely!). She walks well on leash, rides calmly in the car, and loves her Kong and stuffed toys. Wren is cautious around unfamiliar men but warms up with patience—and treats are the ultimate icebreaker. With multiple overnight guests in her foster home, she’s proven adaptable and gentle. Wren is extremely stressed at the shelter and cannot return—she needs a calm, loving home where she can fully decompress and continue to thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s as happy on an adventure as she is curled up by your side, Wren is ready to meet you.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Wren, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
