From Nipper`s (aka Pippa) Foster Mom: `The Snuggle Queen with a Tender HeartPippa is a soft, quiet soul with a backstory of resilience and transformation. She came into foster care as a poorly socialized FIV-positive cat, which means she needs to be the only cat in the home or live with other FIV+ feline companions (dogs are good too). Because of her diagnosis, Pippa only had quick visits in the shelter when her space was cleaned. She didn`t get the socialization most young cats do, and the world felt like a very big, very scary place. When she first arrived in foster, Pippa tucked herself deep into a velvet cat cave—and stayed there for a month. Then one day, with some gentle coaxing, she came out and leaned against her foster mom’s chest. It was a magical moment—but it overwhelmed her, and she retreated for another month of quiet cave time. Slowly, at her own pace, she emerged again, finding comfort first on a blanket in the bathtub and eventually braving the larger world of the house. She shows no signs of wanting to go outside, but she has the makings of a champion mouser. Now, Pippa has blossomed into a world-class cuddler. She lives for quiet companionship. Though she’s still wary of being picked up and will dash away if you try, she adores being held once she feels safe. Long brushing sessions, snuggles in bed, and curling up on top of you while you work—these are her favorite things. Her foster mom calls her Ms. Cuddlepants for a reason.Pippa also has a curious side. She’s not afraid of dogs and is currently in peaceful negotiations with her dog foster-sibling (who’s a little nervous around cats). She doesn’t play much and isn’t particularly treat-motivated, but she’ll happily take treats from your hand. Dry food is definitely her preference. She has an automatic feeder in fostercare and really likes the regular meals. This sweet girl has come so far, and now she’s ready for a furever home. Pippa needs a calm, patient person who moves gently and respects her boundaries. With time and trust, she’ll choose you—and when she does, you’ll have the softest, snuggliest companion you could imagine. If you’ve got a quiet heart and an open lap, Pippa is your purrrfect companion.`
