My story

If you’ve been following Percy’s story, you’ll know it hasn’t been the easiest road for this quirky, lovable boy. Chows have a reputation for being stubborn and opinionated, and Percy embodies that to a T. He’s not shy about letting you know what he thinks—he’ll grumble if you interrupt his plans, or huff dramatically if you tell him, “No, sir, don’t eat that bug.” But here’s the thing: Percy’s not being difficult; he’s just being a Chow. Now, Percy has blossomed into the fuzzy, playful bear we always knew he could be. His coat is growing back beautifully. He loves toys, treats, and affection (sometimes all at once), which makes training both fun and productive. But like many Chows, Percy thrives with people who truly understand him. He’s not a dog for a first-time owner—he needs someone who gets the breed’s quirks and knows how to work with them. Percy does great with humans and has no problem soaking up all the love. What Percy Needs: - Someone who’s familiar with Chows or independent, strong-willed breeds - A fenced yard for play and exploration. - No young kids—Percy’s rough play is better suited for teens and up. - Ideally, an only-dog home, or one with a tolerant, well-trained dog and a handler willing to work through slow introductions. ** Percy is located in Spring, TX.
