My story

Matthew is the kind of dog who reminds you what unconditional love looks like. At around 8 years old, this sweet boy is a total heart-stealer who’s just looking for a family to spend his golden years with—one full of cozy naps, gentle cuddles, tasty treats, and maybe a few squeaky toys for good measure. Matthew absolutely adores people and wants nothing more than to be by your side. He’s been dog and cat tested and showed no aggression, but due to a spinal arthritis condition that causes some weakness in his back legs, he’s not up for roughhousing or active play with other dogs. With a few minor accommodations, though, Matthew is incredibly easy to care for and remains a happy, loving companion. He’s a laid-back, affectionate guy who thrives in a calm home where he can lounge comfortably, soak up attention, and enjoy a relaxed routine. His eyes sparkle with happiness, and his tail still has that gentle wag that says, “Thank you for seeing me.” Matthew is waiting patiently for someone to see past his physical limitations and into his big, beautiful heart.
