Barbie’s paperwork says 2 but I would say 2-4, she is underweight at 6.8 pounds (should be 8ish lbs), tall and skinny. She is settling in and becoming more comfortable with us now and she has even started giving me kisses. She is still a bit stiff in my arms but loves to snuggle next to me on the couch. She is pretty vocal & barks a lot at all of the comings and goings in my house. She would be much better in a quiet household. She is my shadow and follows me everywhere. She can be quite protective of me and has snapped at my other dog a couple of times. I feel she would be better suited as an only dog. She seems to be ok with my cat and does not pay much attention to him. She is a picky eater but she is eating well - she likes to nibble throughout the day, rather than eat her meal all at once. She likes her kibble but would prefer to pick at it on the floor. She loves a bit of scrambled egg or chopped hot dog mixed in with her kibble. She gets very excited for treats and will get up on her hind legs and spin around. She walks well on a leash so far and loves to go for walks but I am not sure how much she will like it once the snow falls and it gets colder. She is not shy of people at all and gets very excited and barky. She has a very loud bark so apartment living may not be suitable. She really only barks at my other animals and when people come and go, or when one of my other dogs starts barking. She sleeps all night in her crate. Potty training is still a work in progress. During the day, when she is awake, she potties very often so a backyard would be handy unless you are using pee pads. Barbie is a very fun and quirky pup with a lot of energy. She is still learning how to live in a home and be a pet and have people to love her. Once she gets the hang of this, I feel like she will settle down and maybe even become a lap dog. DISCLAIMER; I understand that the breed, health, age, nature, or temperament of the TXCR adopted dog is not guaranteed. I understand that said dog is a rescue that has come from the streets or shelters and often there is no history on this animal.
