My story

Hi, I’m Oakley—a blue & tan merle masterpiece with ears so cute they should be illegal and a smile that’ll make your heart skip. I’m just a year and a half old and weigh in at a trim 50 pounds, but don’t let my size fool you—I’ve got enough love and energy to fill a stadium.My previous family said I’m housetrained (thank you very much), and my talents include fetch, agility, car rides, and house parkour (yes, it’s a sport if you believe in yourself). I love toys, quiet cuddle time, and keeping you company while we `chat` about life. I’ve even figured out how to turn on the water spout so I can splash around on demand—genius, I know.My foster family says I’m smart, playful, super athletic, and have an amazing memory. I know all the classics like sit, stay, lay down, and “get the toy.” I’ve lived with older kids and other dogs, though I’d like a proper intro before rooming with any future dog siblings. I haven’t lived with cats, so the jury’s still out on those.Whether we’re running around outside or curled up on the couch watching TV (I have opinions and I will share them), I’ll be your loyal, loving, slightly goofy best friend. You can take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours, giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time.
