My story

Cheyenne, the capital of Wyoming, boasts the largest city population in the state- a mere 65,000 people! Wyoming is the land of wide open spaces; plenty of room to explore and take your time. Our sweet pup Cheyenne sure dreams of exploring a little closer to home with her future family. Are long walks followed by gentle snuggles your idea of a good time? If so, Cheyenne is the ideal pup for you!Cheyenne was recently surrendered to the shelter when her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. In her previous home Cheyenne reportedly loved to run and play and did well with kids and other dogs. Volunteers are impressed with Cheyenne’s gentle sweetness, sharing the following:“Cheyenne was friendly and eager to get out of her kennel. She is a strong girl, pleasant and bouncy. She sweetly checks in with her kennelmate while walking and she accepts gentle pets. She`s a little nervous when first meeting new people in the shelter, but is warming up to physical touch. She has a very nice “sit” and takes treats extremely gently. She has a mellow, very sweet personality.” “I spent time with Cheyenne today to fit her with a harness. She allowed petting and rubbing under her chin and on her chest, gradually warming up to me and starting to look up to me. Once fitted with the harness, she laid down and allowed me to continue to gently rub her neck and chest.”Cheyenne shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been tolerant and independent when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Cheyenne is looking for a home where she will be welcomed indoors and invited to participate in her family’s adventures! If you’re longing for a buddy to take walks with and help you melt away the stress of the day, Cheyenne’s your girl! Come meet her today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt CHEYENNE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
