My story

Chancho-Retriever X male, ~ 3 yr. (Dec. 2024) (Photos taken July 2024) Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for an application. Chancho came to Rescue from a high kill big city shelter. He was on the list to lose his life to euthanasia that very day. This was happening only because the shelter was way overwhelmed with dogs needing homes. Chancho went into a rescue foster home and has proved to be an excellent dog. He's about 50#, full of intelligence and life. He plays well with the other foster dogs, is very social. He's an active young adult and will enjoy a life that is active. During the summer he showed how much he loves water. Jumping in and out of the farm horse water trough, on those hot days. Best of all, he loves people and wants to interact with humans. He would be an excellent hiking or walking partner. Chancho can be a little too interested in cats, so he's looking for homes that do not have cats. Chancho's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption .
