My story

Male, 1.5 years old, 37.5 lbs Personality: loyal, snuggler, affectionate, goofy/funny, adaptable, playful, rambunctious, energetic, mischievous, and smart. Meet Dreamer! This loyal ​boy is ready to light up your life. Dreamer is a charismatic companion who finds fun in everything he does, whether it’s chasing a ball, going for a walk, playing with the resident dog in his foster home, or snuggling up with his people. Dreamer is a smart ​d​og who knows words like “sit,” “touch,” and "1-2-3." He is doing well with house training, sleeps in his crate at night, has adjusted to a busy city neighborhood, and walks pretty well on leash. Dreamer is working on building up his confidence. He's nervous about being home alone and with new people at the house, so at the moment he would do best in a quiet home without young children. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
