My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PURRS ABOUND SIAMESE RESCUE OF MICHIGAN,INC. Lapeer, MI   Meet Bubble Yum!   Bubble Yum is one of 12 cats rescued from a hoarding situation in Lapeer after their owner was hospitalized. Most of the cats in the home had been thrown outside by the man's family, and we were told there were none left inside. We are grateful we checked inside the home, because there were not one but TWO cats left inside, deep in hiding, including Bubble Yum who was carefully and skillfully pulled from a cabinet in the kitchen.   This poor, sweet girl is still learning life outside the garbage-filled home she was living in, and because of this, she is looking for a very special home, one full of patience and understanding. If you're that beautiful person looking for the cat that everyone looks over in the shelter, this is your girl. Bubble Yum is EXTREMELY shy, and quick movements will send her hiding even from the people she knows best. She will come out for her foster mom for canned food, but she prefers to keep her distance otherwise. She is not likely to be a lap cat, but more of a beautiful little buff-colored, living decoration in your home... A mostly look-but-don't-touch kind of decoration. In return for keeping her food bowls filled, she will gift you with the occasional physical interaction, allowing touch while eating, and fleeting moments of interactive play with her humans. With time, she will improve, however this will be a very slow process for her.   Cat friendly. Dogs unknown. No young children, please.   Bubble Yum is fully vetted including spay, microchip, vaccines, and a negative FeLV and FIV combo test. She is ready to find her perfect, patient forever family. Please understand that a meet and greet will absolutely not show you her real personality - she will hide in a tiny ball in her carrier and will likely allow a potential adopter to hold her out of paralyzing fear, however once home and settled, she will need time for touch and interaction to happen again.   Please consider this hidden little gem for adoption. We know she's a tough case, but we also see moments of love and adoration from this misunderstood little girl, and we know in the right hands that she will become a loving, trusting little house cat. Providing this sweet girl with a forever home and allowing her to blossom into the best flavor of Bubble Yum she can be, is truly what "rescue" is all about.   https://purrssiameserescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=1463&siteid=760&contactsformsid=&page=contact Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 29, 2024, 12:31 am
