Mateo

My story

Mateo was left to die on the side of the road, in the dirt, and under the scorching sun after he was struck by a vehicle. He was taken to a vet in Mexico where they amputated his leg. The procedure was botched and Mateo was left with bone fragments in his leg and in exreme pain. He had to undergo a second amputation once he was brought to the states. Mateo has been in physical therapy ever since and has been making progress. At first, they wanted to try and have him put weight on his remaining leg so he could eventually, hopefully, walk again, but this was not successful. Mateo much preferred the use of his doggie wheelchair. This boy has been through so much, but that hasnt slowed him down one bit. He still runs around and plays just like other dogs, and he absolutely loves having all of his mobility back now that he has mastered using his chair. Mateo is available for adoption and would love to find his forever family.
