You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi, I am Khloe, a Chihuahua mix.   Here is my story: I was rescued from a horrible hoarding environment.  I had never been outside and I was terrified of people.   I am making progress! I have been in two foster homes because I am working to build trust with humans.  Both homes have dogs: I am good with them.  Even with dogs, I like to observe them and study their style of play and interaction before I decide it is safe.  So far, everyone has been friendly which gives me positive experiences.  My foster moms and dad have been patient and understanding of my hesitancy.  They get me!   I need a patient, caring person that will allow me to take it slow so I can trust them.  I need a secure, fenced in yard to explore.  I also need a safe place to retreat; I like my crate.   I am food/treat motivated.  Bring out some chicken and I may eat from your hand! Wet food might work too as I said I like food and treats; I will need to trust you first. I am pee pad trained but I have great house training potential if you provide a safe outdoor space.  I love to play with toys too.   My personality traits include: sweet, curious, cautious, playful, intelligent, and feline-like.   I am precious.  If you can provide love, patience, treats, toys, and safe spaces, I may be able to thrive in your care.  Thank you for reading my story.
