My story

Hi, I’m Ellie…and you are?? Well, nice to meetcha!!Have you ever looked up the meaning of your name? I just did, and boy does my name fit. “Ellie” comes from the Greek and translates to “light” or “bright one” and is often given with the expectation that the child (or puppy in my case) would embody the qualities associated with light and brightness -- positivity, joy, and radiance. THAT’S ME!!!!!!I arrived in Minnesota and am currently staying with a foster family and their resident dog. I was pretty nervous when I first met them, but it’s all good now that they gave me some time and lots of yummy treats. My favorite place to be is in your lap…you won’t mind though because I’m super soft and warm. I love to play with toys/kids/dogs (and give lots of kisses)…but bully rubs are THE BEST!!!I sleep all night in my kennel, but love to snuggle and take naps on the couch or bed too. I’m good at doing my “business” outside, but only when I’m good and ready…I don’t like to rush these things, so I take my time to pick just the right “spot to squat.”Anyway, I’m just super excited to have the chance to find a family of my own…could it be yours?--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions.
