My story

Meet Lady, the sweet, gentle soul who's looking for a forever home where she can enjoy her golden years in peace and comfort. This laid-back lady is the perfect companion for someone who loves a quiet, cozy environment and is ready to share their space with a loving dog who appreciates the simpler things in life-like belly rubs, lounging on the couch, and the occasional squirrel chase! Though Lady has recently experienced a loss of vision in her right eye, she hasn't let it slow her down one bit. She has recently seen a specialist that is treating her with some ointments, but is 100% sure she will not gain any vision in this eye. It might eventually need removed if she starts to be in pain. In fact, she still has a keen eye for those pesky squirrels she loves to chase! She's also adjusting beautifully to her new reality and is learning to navigate the world with grace. Her joyful, affectionate nature shines through every day, especially when she greets you with tail wags, butt wiggles, and a few sweet kisses. Lady thrives in a calm, low-energy environment where she can take her time to warm up to new faces-both human and canine. Once she trusts you, you'll see her true, loving personality emerge. She gets along well with other dogs, especially when introductions are slow and respectful, but she prefers a quieter, slower pace of life-no high-energy households for this girl. This gentle girl is house-trained, enjoys her daily walks (she's become quite the leash-walking pro!), and is content to lounge on the couch until you return home, ready to greet you with all the affection in her heart. Lady would do best in a home without young children, or with older, respectful children who will give her the space she needs to feel comfortable and secure.
