My story

Please contact Kady Hammer (KadyH@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.happiest boy looking for his forever family! TIMOTHY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!   Come meet Timothy and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (05/11) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Kensington, MD (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)!     Name: Timothy           Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Shepherd Mix     Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of February 2025          SEX: Male   Estimated Weight:  58lbs as of December 2024; he might still have a bit more to grow   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! He is friendly with children he meets but he has not lived with children to our knowledge. He would do best in a home without cats as he is a little too eager to be friends. We are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters to support his transition into your home!   Currently Living at:  DC area foster home  Timothy is Looking For:  Hiya! I'm Timothy! I first came up as a teeny puppy with my littermates, Tomato, Tiffany, and Tiger. All of them got adopted, but I am still waiting for my forever family! I am a happy guy who loves to make new friends (human and canine), play in water, go on long walks, take naps, and hang out with my neighborhood friends (my best friend is named Buffy and I love her)! I am also a VERY smart boy, not that I'm biased or anything. I know how to sit, stay, trade (where I give up what I have so you give me what you have), shake, leave it (where you put a treat in front of me and I brilliantly leave it until you tell me I can take it), and many more I can't wait to show you. I also sleep and nap in my crate! If my foster mom tells me it's not time to get up I will sigh to make sure she knows I am NOT in agreement but then will snooze until she's ready to start her day (I am but a gentleman). I also walk with a gentle leader and am very praise and treat motivated. Although I love my foster mom and my neighborhood friends, I would love my own forever home where I can continue my training and start making new forever friends. Will you give me a chance? What My Foster Says About Me: Timothy is the happiest, goofiest boy. He is incredibly smart and eager to learn. He's extremely affectionate and loves his people and dog friends. He loves all of the kids he's met out on walks and at adoption events. He is very playful and enjoys walks, hikes, running in fields, and relaxing in his crate. He is always up to joining any adventure, but is also happy to take a nap after all the excitement. He has been living in an apartment with his foster for several months and he is great! He looks to me for encouragement and praise while walking in the hallways. He also adores car rides and is a very good passenger. He listens to commands well and is learning social cues from dog and human acquaintances. He loves kids and is good at staying calm with them. He is such a good boy who will be such a great addition to anyone's family! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.    If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online bit.ly/adoptaluckydog   Lucky Dog Animal Rescue does our best to provide accurate information about the dogs we have for adoption. That said, we cannot make any guarantees about age, breed or temperament.   Thank you for contacting Lucky Dog Animal Rescue and helping to save a life! Please visit us online at        www.luckydoganimalrescue.org       . BE A FOSTER!!!       Fosters make it possible for Lucky Dog Animal Rescue to save and care for homeless and abandoned dogs!  To learn about fostering, please contact fostering@luckydoganimalrescue.org! BE A SPONSOR!!!!       Sponsors help Lucky Dog support the many dogs we save. To learn more about sponsorship, please contact       info@luckydoganimalrescue.org       .   &#226&#128&#139May 8, 2025, 7:12 pm
