My story

Two weeks after Lina came into foster, she has proved herself to be a smart, quick learner, and adaptable! This loving, cuddly, fun loving girl is in serious need of a family. She’s amazing with kids, in fact she calms down and feels safe when kids are around. She also has gotten along well with every dog she has come across.Although she is a bit scared of all new things, she has done amazing work being out in public! She went from being totally terrified with the idea of walking into a home improvement center to walking right in and even stopping to accept treats from a few strangers. Lina is head shy and prefers taking some time before accepting pets from unknown adults, but once she warms up, she is all snuggles and love. She’s gone on walks around the neighborhood, to parks, on a few hikes, as well as some friends houses and she is very well behaved once settled. She walks very well on a slack leash unless she is feeling stressed or scared; mostly at the beginnings of things or when coming across new things like garbage trucks in the wild, passing barking dogs behind fences, or a person approaching. Luckily she is very treat motivated and will sit down for a treat and usually redirect to a calmer attitude. Lina loves stuffies and playing chase or tug with her people. She also LOVES lounging around on a couch. She’d be great as a running companion with her long lanky legs, but will also be happy to hang around the house somewhere comfy. She knows how to sit, wait by the door before going in/out, likes rides in vehicles, she is spayed, house trained, and ready for her furever family!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt LINA, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
