My story

Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue SWEET AND SASSY Meow! My name is Maizy. My estimated date of birth is 7/10/2019. I am a sweet and sassy girl who has patiently been waiting her turn for a forever home.  I like to be petted on my head and have behind my ears scratched. I am VERY food and treat motivated and love temptations and friskies wet food. I also have one green eye and one brown eye, which is a unique trait about me. I like to hang out on top of the fridge and survey my surroundings from up high or walk back and forth on the kitchen counters as volunteers walk in and out and say hi to me. The reason I tend to stay up high is that there are a lot of other cats here. While I enjoy being an office kitty and being out and about, I don't really care too much for the other cats here, and would prefer to be an only kitty in my new home. Being up high gives me my own space away from them where I am usually left alone by other cats. I’ve begun pulling my fur out due to the stress of being around other cats, but once I’m in a comfortable environment it should grow back. I definitely pick and choose my favorite people and it may be best if you either devoted one on one time when you visit me or visit me a couple of times to form a bond. This way you would get to truly get to know me better. I am a special girl, but know that there is a special home out there for me. I’m a volunteer favorite, so I know there must be adopters out there who will love me too! I am at the Kitty Corner, waiting for you to fall in love with me!Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family!  Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm.  All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many  that are not posted yet.  Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives.  No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so).  We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.   We are always in need of donations to help us continue to save hundreds of cats and kittens every year.  Visit bit.ly/DonateFLR for more info. Be sure to check us out on Facebook at  bit.ly/KittyCornerFB and "LIKE" our page and share our posts! SAVING ONE CAT MAY NOT CHANGE THE WORLD...BUT FOR THAT ONE CAT, THE WORLD CHANGES FOREVER!  May 22, 2025, 9:44 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maizy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
