My story

Freya is a sweet, soulful girl who has truly blossomed in her foster home. She’s house trained, doesn’t beg at mealtime, ignores snack wrappers like a pro, and has zero interest in the trash. She’s also a world-class snuggler — every evening around 8:00 p.m., like clockwork, she’ll gently nudge your hand to let you know it’s time for scritches. She’s crate trained, though her foster hasn’t needed to use one while working from home. When left alone, she does well with pee pads. Freya enjoys her daily walks and is steadily building stamina — she’s up to about 2.5 miles a day! Freya can clear a 4-foot chain-link fence, so she’ll need a fully enclosed yard or someone committed to leash walks. She’s calm around cats and used to do well with other dogs, but after an isolated incident a few months ago, she’s shown some reactivity on walks. Her foster is helping her rebuild confidence and feel more secure around other pups. Though it took her a few days to settle in, once she opened up, Freya was all in. She’d thrive in a calm, patient home where someone is around most of the time. With her gentle nature and love of routine, she’s a devoted and easygoing companion. Her foster suspects she may be a bit older than her records suggest — possibly around 5 years old. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving friend who just wants to be near you (preferably curled up on the couch), Freya is your girl. Freya is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program, which means you can take some time to get to know her in your home before finalizing the adoption. It’s a great way to ensure the perfect fit! ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. An approved application is required before we can schedule a meet & greet. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the right match. All of our dogs are adoption-ready and come: •️ Spayed or neutered •️ Heartworm tested •️ Dewormed •️ Up-to-date on prevention medications •️ Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines •️ Microchipped •️ With a coupon for a free Simply Dub collar from Dubdog Designs

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Freya, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
