My story

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I have been known to shower my favorite people in love!Bella interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that she go to a home with adopters with some cat experience preferred AND be well counseled in overstimulation.A volunteer writes: When I first laid eyes on Bella, a gorgeous, young, tortoiseshell kitty, I knew we would become fast friends. I approached her kennel bearing a high value hostess gift (tuna). It worked like a charm and I was in like Flynn. I petted her while she was eating and each time I stopped, her shoulders popped up to keep the contact. Dessert was a catnip toy and this too was a hit. In her semi-inebriated state, she showered me with copious cheek rubs and head butts. Just as I was about to leave, I discovered her favorite petting place. Each time I made a motion to go, she bowed her head down for a pet on the head, again and again. In her previous life, Bella lived nicely with several other cats and a dog, but it was not easy for six cats to share a single litterbox. Oh, and one more thing on Bella's favorite topic (petting). If she doesn't like your petting technique, she will step back and give you a disapproving look. She's more than willing to teach you, though, so come by for a visit and perhaps a lesson.
