My story

Microchipped, DOB: Oct 13, 2014 Thomas is a sweet and affectionate senior cat, who loves being pet! He is initially shy and very skittish, and it will take some coaxing before he becomes comfortable. But when he does, he will warm up to you greatly, following you around in demand of pets or food. He is also very curious and will poke his head into any cabinets, closets, or rooms available to him. Thomas is incredibly smart, bringing you his bag of treats in his mouth and plopping it at your feet when he feels hungry. He also loves to flop on his back and show you his belly for some rubs. He also expresses himself through vocalizations often, especially at night when he is not being snuggled. His previous owner could no longer care for him due to a health issue, so he was surrendered to Toronto Cat Rescue. Thomas has a history of being ganged up on by other cats when he was young, so it is best if he is in a single-cat household so he doesn’t have to deal with that stress. Thomas is a bigger cat, so he will need some portion control and a fibrous diet to lose a few pounds. Special note from the foster family: Thomas has been a sweetheart in foster care--he loves to snuggle up right next to you at night. During the day, he can be found lounging somewhere quiet and dark. Though he's not as energetic as a younger cat, he still very much loves to be included in your day and loves attention from his humans.
