These two dignified dames, full of charm, quirks, and snuggles, are a bonded pair of senior Great Danes who are looking for the one thing they haven’t found yet — their forever home.Louise, or “Lou” if you ask her foster mom, is the shy sister with the soulful eyes and an old soul tucked inside a lanky frame. She's cautious at first, unsure of the world, but once she decides you’re hers, you’ve got a shadow for life. She doesn’t just follow you room to room — she joins you. Whether you're brushing your teeth, chopping veggies, or folding laundry, Louise will be nearby, gently reminding you that the best things in life are shared with someone you love.Lou has a playful streak, too. Toys that squeak? A delight. Toys that shake? Even better. She’s got a signature bedtime ritual of circling and scratching before curling up like a cinnamon roll for a good nap. She dreams often, little woofs escaping while her paws twitch. She’s leash trained, house trained, crate trained, and people-trained — as long as Thelma’s nearby. Louise can’t bear to be without her sister, not even for a minute. If Thelma steps out of sight, Lou's heartbreak is instant and loud. Wherever Thelma goes, Lou must go too.Thelma, or “Telly Welly with the big-o fat belly Welly,” as she’s often serenaded, is the opposite side of the same coin. Warm, fearless, silly, and confident, Thelma never met a stranger she didn’t want to smother with affection. She is everyone’s best friend within five seconds — a lover of laps, warm blankets, and human attention. Her biggest fear? Probably being cold on the couch without a blanket. Or maybe plastic bags. Those are suspicious.Thelma brings the goofy charm of a much younger dog, wrapped in the wisdom of a seasoned one. She snores like a diesel engine, steals your spot on the couch, and will happily help herself to whatever you forgot on the kitchen counter. But don’t worry — a firm “no” goes a long way. She's got just enough spunk for a round of tug or chase in the yard, followed by a nap that could rival a bear in hibernation. She’s leash trained, crate trained, and potty trained. But what she’s really trained in is love.Together, they are a heartwarming yin and yang — Lou, the soft introvert who gives her whole heart to one person, and Thelma, the extrovert who loves everyone a little too much. They walk beautifully on leash, adore outings to stores where people fawn over them, and they’ve got manners that would make your grandma proud — well, if you ignore the occasional snack heist.They’ve lived with cats, kids, big dogs, small dogs, and each other — and they’ve done it all with gentle grace. Thelma might not mind a solo adventure now and then, but Louise would unravel without her sister.
