My story

Smart, beautiful and charming – Eggshell checks all the boxes for a purr-fect feline companion! While settling into a new home, Eggshell prefers to keep a low profile and stay under the radar – we affectionately call that being an “undercover cat!” Here at the Adoption Center, this lovely brown-and-white tabby cat is already coming out of her shell and showing us her true colors! Eggshell greets her friends with quiet, little chirps and will get up from her cozy bed for some treats. Eggshell is a fast learner and has been working on some fun training sessions with our volunteers. As she has become more confident, she has shown off her playful side more! She especially loves batting at wand toys and chasing laser pointers. After burning off some energy and enjoying some treats, she loves to wind down with some head and cheek scratches. All Eggshell needs now is a loving adopter to be her playmate! Eggshell would probably do best in a home with kids ages 8 and up. Eggshell has previously lived with another cat, but it is unknown if she enjoyed their company. Eggshell would do best with a patient adopter who understands that she needs time to adjust to a new home. Eggshell is looking forward to meeting you and having a family of her own! To find out more about her, click the “Adopt Me” button here - https://adopt.adopets.com/pet/0dddfce3-9121-4a4a-a8ad-f4dfc50f009d   *The ASPCA Adoption Center encourages a $150 suggested adoption fee when adopting an animal. This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.*  For more information on adopting from the ASPCA, please visit www.aspca.org/adoptionsteps. &#226&#128&#139 **The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet. Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!** May 27, 2025, 4:12 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Eggshell, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
