My story

My current foster writes:Once she gets to know you, she is the sweetest cat ever and will greet you at the door and come over to ask for pets. She will always rub herself on you and loves scratches under the neck! She will also follow you around the house. She loves to play with different toys especially the fishing rod and is a very curious cat. She is always looking out the window and climbing around spaces. However, she is also a bit clumsy... She enjoys sleeping with you as well. She doesn't really like any treats but loves cheese.Make sure to give her time in the beginning and respect her space but is otherwise a super easy cat to take care of.My previous foster writes:She's always greats you in front of the door and will rub herselfagainst you all the time. She also loves scratches under theneck! She's a very smart cat, a bit too smart, and you can findher lifting up toilet seats or playing with her water fountain. Aslong as you respect her space when she's hiding or playing onher own she will be super loving! What my friends at ACC say about me:Kira has made spectacular improvements and was lying calmly on top of the den, appeared relaxed, sniffed treats and then allowed all petting, leaning in gently for cheek rubs, a huge contract to when she was first assessed. She was not able to be coaxed off the den but remained calm.Kira interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior. A volunteer writes: This week's most improved award goes to beautiful Kira, who arrived at the Care Center standoffish and fractious but soon settled in and became a calm affection monger who eagerly leans in for cheek rubs. We understand why she wasn't happy at first; Kira came from a home, and the sudden change in her surroundings was tough to handle. But this intuitive girl must have realized that there's a real forever home out there for her, and showing off her super manners and social smarts will help her land it. Kira's at that perfect cat age where she no longer has crazy kitten neediness but can entertain herself when she's not scoring pettings and warming the laps of her people. Meet her at the Manhattan Care Center today! Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 8.5 Age: 3yrs 7mths 4wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kira, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
