My story

Kayson is the cutest little guy! We will be honest, we rarely ever run our little dogs. They usually get scooped up immediately. Kayson was so scared his first few days in the shelter he didn't trust right away. He can still be a little nervous with new people and with fast hands. What we are seeing as Kayson gets more comfortable is how much he loves to play. Kayson will pick the biggest toy to drag around with him. He is really a sweet boy. Kayson has picked up the shelter ick. We would love to see him find a foster home soon. Came in as a stray on 9/21/24. Found near 5300 S Tripp, Chicago Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information. The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
