My story

Katniss is a sweet 9-month-old calico kitten with a stunning coat that reflects her vibrant spirit. She is as fierce as she is beautiful — but beneath her striking multicolored coat is a heart full of love. At just 8 months old, she’s already blossoming into a loyal and affectionate companion. Katniss can be a little shy at first, but once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll reward you with sweet snuggles, gentle head bumps, and plenty of purring. She loves a quiet hand reaching out to her and will quickly become your shadow once she feels safe. She’s playful, curious, and smart — a perfect mix of independent spirit and loving companion. Because Katniss finds comfort and confidence from having a feline friend nearby, she will do best adopted into a home with another cat friend. Whether she’s chasing a toy, wrestling with a buddy, or curling up next to you for a nap, Katniss is ready to find her forever home where she can continue to grow and shine. We rescue from kill shelters and from the street, manage feral colonies, and promote TNR (trap, neuter, release). We need your help! Please adopt a pet from a Rescue. If you can't adopt, please foster. If you can't foster, please donate. At Dirty Little Paws our mission is to save the lives of as many cats as possible. We respond to daily emergencies, fully vet each cat, release ferals back into their colonies, rehabilitate some, make sick cats well, hold adoption fairs, educate the public, and place a strong emphasis on sourcing donations through events & fundraisers so that this work may continue.
