My story

Meet Tabitha! Tabitha is a playful, moderately energetic 8-month old puppy who LOVES toys, treats, and exploring. At 20 lbs, she is probably pretty close to her full size. Tabitha particularly enjoys fetch, chewing on bones, tug, and de-stuffing plushies. She's a good walker, and will make an excellent walking/hiking/running buddy once she's got her leash skills fully dialed in -- she doesn't even really mind rain! She's great in the car. Tabitha settles into her crate well both during the day and at night. She is very food-motivated, and while we're working on her tendency to jump, she is learning that only sitting will get her what she wants. Her puppyness primarily comes out in a tendency to chew on hands, but in all, she's a happy dog who just sometimes needs help containing all that excitement in her tiny body. Tabitha LOVES people and playing with other dogs. If you're new to your neighborhood, she'll make friends for you! She'd be a wonderful addition to a home with adults who love the outdoors (she loves to sit and sunbathe when she's not chasing a ball or exploring), and potentially with older children who can handle puppies calmly. While she's a dog that will need moderate physical exercise, she will primarily need loving adopters willing to provide consistent training and mental stimulation -- she might even enjoy exploring dog sports like agility or FastCat as a way to bond with her owner and have some fun.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tabitha , please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
