My story

Hi, I’m Marla—and if you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who’ll quietly follow you around like a little shadow, I just might be your girl. Once I warm up, I’ll be gently asking for pets, quietly watching you work, and absolutely living for playtime—especially with fishing rod toys. I take my job as a toy hunter very seriously!I love Churu (I wasn’t sure at first, but now I’m fully on board), and I’ll happily entertain myself with toy mice if you’re busy. I get along well with other cats and might even be okay with a gentle dog who respects my space—I just need slow introductions and a little time to feel safe.Because I was isolated early in life, I’m still learning to fully trust humans. I can be a bit skittish, but if you let me go at my own pace—no chasing or sudden pick-ups—I’ll reward your patience with affection, companionship, and my silly, lovable personality.I’m ready for my forever home—one that will give me a little time, lots of love, and a stash of Churu. My adoption fee of $25 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
