My story

This litter of puppies was hours from being euthanized after being dumped when they were rescued by a foster parent of ours, who is currently keeping them and bottle feeding them. We approximate the birthday to be August 15th, so you can apply to adopt now, but just know they will not be able to go home until early October after they are weened. We currently cannot tell the breed very well due to them being so small, but we guess they will be medium sized dogs, maybe with pitbull terrier or mastiff mixed. We do not make any guarantees about the breed, so it's our best guess! The adoption fee for these cuties includes the first puppy visit with our veterinarian, which includes microchip insertion, a physical exam, dewormer, and their 1st DHPP vaccine. Puppies should receive the DHPP vaccine every 3-4 weeks until they are 18 weeks old, so they will need subsequent vaccinations after the initial visit, along with rabies and other vaccines that may be needed based on your lifestyle. The adoption fee also includes the spay/neuter done at Crossroads Animal Hospital. The surgery may be done prior to adoption or you may need to bring them back in order to have it performed, but this will be communicated to you during the adoption process. To meet one of our adoptable pets or to start the adoption process, please access the adoption application on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org or download and email it to crossroadsanimalrescuesc@gmail.com. Sending in an application does not obligate you to adopt, it just helps us get to know you and your lifestyle a little bit more prior to adoption! We will then review your application, and we can set up a time for you to meet one or more of our pets. You can then pay the adoption fee and officially adopt after meeting your new family member. Alternatively, you can do the adoption over the phone before meeting your new pet. The benefit to this is that we will hold the pet for you. However, the adoption fee is non-refundable if you changed your mind after adopting over the phone. We are happy to adopt out-of-state (and even out of the country!) but transportation for the adopted pet is the responsibility of the new pet owner.
