My story

Tommy is a 65-pound, short and stocky lovebug who wants nothing more than to be by your side (or on your lap, if you’ll let him). After being neglected and under-socialized in his previous life, he’s now making up for lost time with all the affection he has to give.He’s incredibly cuddly, eager to please, and happiest when he’s following his person around like the loyal companion he was always meant to be. Tommy is neutered, potty trained, knows “sit” and “lay down,” and is non-destructive when left alone.He plays beautifully with other dogs of all sizes and ages, but on-leash he can get a bit overexcited and reactive around new people and animals. Because of this, his ideal home is one with a fenced yard or some land where he can safely get his energy out without the chaos of busy sidewalks.While he’s incredibly sweet, Tommy doesn’t quite realize how strong and solid he is, so a home without small children is best — think of him as a bull in a china shop with a heart of gold.If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and endlessly devoted best friend, Tommy might be your guy. He’s ready to love big — he just needs someone ready to love him back.
