This is Carter and he is believed to be Golden/Great Pyr/Lab mix, that came from a hoarding situation back in Sept 2024. He came in with many many dogs, and some were more tragic than others... Carter is one of those dogs. He is at the GRRAND kennel and they say: "Carter, Hamilton and Kenton are the least social of the dogs from the hoarding situation. Carter is now showing signs that he's excited to see me, and follows me around the play yard, from a distance. He won't take treats from me yet, but will gobble them up when I toss one to him. We are weeks away from Carter being ready to go home, but we are also committed to working with these sweet dogs to get them to a point where they can go home and become a part of a loving family. Check back on Carter, Hamilton and Kenton's progress." Carter will need a home with an above ground securely fenced yard as he is considered a flight risk due to lack of socialization and human love and no small children. He will need a family with the time and patience to work with him through any insecurities he may have, and another stable confident dog for Carter to help show him the ropes and help build his own confidence is very important for him as well. If you would like to learn more about Carter, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org If you would like to donate to Carter's care or the care for the remaining dogs he came in with, please visit https://www.gofundme.com/f/rescue-for-dogs-in-deplorable-conditions A beacon of hope shines bright as GRRAND and animal advocates across the commonwealth collaborate to help rescue animals trapped in a devastating hoarding situation on a rural County Kentucky farm. Advocates eagerly await justice for the abused animals and the swift rescue of those still suffering in inhumane conditions. It's awful to think of the terrible lives and abuse they have been subjected to. A litter of 4 week old puppies were found on the property and all had to be treated at the Emergency Vet for Parvo to save their lives and sadly, one did not make it. We have extremely high vet expenses for these dogs and really need ongoing donations to pay for all their care and we are also in desperate need of foster homes for these dogs. As we continue to assess the individual needs of these deserving animals, additional information to come, so please check back for more updates... ##2190858##
