My story

Meet Fred - 9 Months Waiting for a Home  Location: New Freedom, PA  Fred is a 2-year-old, 53-pound mixed breed who has spent 9 months in rescue, waiting for his forever family. He's friendly, loving, and ready to finally settle into a home where he can shower his new family with affection.   Why Fred? Dog-friendly - Fred gets along great with other dogs! Kid-friendly - He's a fantastic companion for children. No cats - Fred prefers a home without feline friends. Fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped \House-trained and crate-trained Loves car rides, walks, keep-away, and tug-of-war - he's a playful, active dog who loves fun games and adventure!  Fred is a playful and affectionate young dog with a lot of energy to share. He's eager to find a loving home where he can thrive.    Ready to make Fred part of your family? Fred is available for adoption only. If you think you're the right match for this sweet boy, please reach out to PA Caring for K9 directly for more details.  Fred has been waiting far too long. Help us spread the word and give him the second chance he truly deserves. Apply at https://www.pack9rescue.org/applications/  New Oxford PA 17350; LIC # 9736    We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate. Learn more about adopting from us or volunteering for us at www.pack9rescue.org or check us out on Facebook for more information and a complete list of dogs available for adoption.             https://www.facebook.com/PaCaringForK9s/  See upcoming events below where PA Caring for K9's will be with some of our adoptable dogs!   Saturday, July 19, 2025 10am-1pm Ciocca Subaru of York (1202 Loucks Rd York, PA) Saturday, August 16, 2025 10am-1pm Puppy Love Dog Grooming (447 E Main St Middletown, PA)    Please check our Facebook page closer to each event as we will update daily with dogs who will be attending. Apply today at https://www.pack9rescue.org/applications/ to become pre-approved.July 14, 2025, 8:47 pm
