My story

Hey everyone! It’s me, Tank Tenor, but you can just call me Tank. I’ve been a Frosted Face since October and have lived in a handful of foster homes with dogs, cats, and as a solo pet. When I came to FFF, I was a skinny boy, but I’m now up to a healthy 75 pounds and you can barely see my ribs anymore. I’ve been waiting for a family of my own for a really long time so I figured I’d come on here and tell you all about myself! They think I’m 8 years old and call me a “senior”, but I really think I’m closer to 6 or 7 years old. I’m not an old man yet and the videos of my zoomies and playing tug can show that! I am still young and agile and very strong. But I do have some old man qualities. I’m much more of a homebody than an adventurer. I *can* walk for a long time but I prefer not to. Outside is for going potty, and inside is for napping, cuddling, eating, and playing. My ideal walk is 5-7 minutes long, so feel free to leave me at home when you want to go on a hike! I am also 100% housetrained and would never think about going potty in the house. I can hold it for up to 10 hours overnight and 8 hours during the day. I pee a lot but only ever outside. If you have a yard, I will go out in it just to do my business, but don’t need much space to run around or sunbathe. Or I can go outside and potty on a leash. I love being around people, some of my friends called me a “Velcro dog”. If Velcro dog means I want to be next to you, on top of you, or inside your skin at all times, then yes, I am a Velcro dog indeed! If you’re home, I would prefer to be near you, follow you around the house, and help you with all your chores. But I’m totally fine being left home alone and will just nap on the couch until you come back. I don’t bark, cry, or destroy things and can be totally trusted home alone. When I came to FFF, I was very skinny. Some people may have thought that I don’t like food, but that’s not true! For some reason, I wasn’t able to keep up my weight, but I looooove to eat. I’m not picky at all! I eat my kibble happily, and will also gladly eat fruits and veggies. There hasn’t been a single food I’ve said no to! And because we’re working on my weight gain, I’ve been allowed to eat so much and it’s the best! I’ve been told that I put on a decent amount of weight due to a new medicine I’m taking, and everyone tells me I look so healthy! Speaking of healthy, I totally am! I’m young and spry with no serious medical conditions. I currently take one med each day and am more than fine eating it. I like getting it in a spoonful of wet food and never put up a fight. Really, I don’t put up a fight about anything. You can touch me anywhere or do whatever you want to me and I’ll allow it! Anything to be around my people. In my ideal home, I’d live with cats, confident dogs, or as a solo pet. I don’t mind sharing the house with other animals, as long as they can respect my space. I love humans of all ages and sizes as long as they can be respectful to me. I don’t mind being dressed and bathed but I wouldn’t appreciate being ridden like a horsey. I’d want a person or family who enjoys cuddles, will play tug with me, and tell me that I’m a very good boy. I’m currently on a Frosted Fling, but I would really love a long-term foster or forever home. I’m too good of a boy to go this long without a family!
