My story

Meet Black Coffee, a striking 1 1/2-year-old female with beautiful black and white markings. Black Coffee came from a hoarding situation with deplorable conditions, so she’s understandably a little shy at first and unsure of people. But with patience and gentle care, she slowly warms up and starts to show her sweet, affectionate side.She is bonded with her friend Tiger Lily, and the two find comfort in each other’s presence. Black Coffee would do best in a calm, patient home where she can take her time adjusting and feel secure. Once she’s comfortable, she’s sure to become a loyal companion. If you’re looking to adopt a pair, Black Coffee and Tiger Lily would make a wonderful duo and would thrive in a loving, understanding home. Therefore, CT Cat Connection has a policy that kittens ​and teenagers up to 12 months of age are adopted in pairs unless there is another animal in the household as a playmate and companion.Due to demand, we cannot place cats or kittens on hold. Your visit to the shelter is to meet any cat or kitten available for adoption at the time of visit.If you or anyone you know is interested in helping the shelter, we are always looking for foster families of our cats and dogs, as well as in-person volunteers, to assist with animal care.
