My story

Blizzard is living in a foster home. Fill out our quick adoption survey, and then we can set up a phone call or meet and greet with the foster! Blizzard is: Spayed: Not yet but will be soon! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized - Currently receiving medicated baths for some skin irritation - Currently taking medication for anxiety support when home alone - Heartworm positive and on activity restriction. Blizzard is undergoing treatment at Ellis Clinic at no charge to their adopter. Heartworm is a treatable disease that most dogs make a full recovery from. Crate trained: She is not super comfortable with being home alone, but has done well for up to 4 hours with the help of medication. She can take a short time to settle, and may cry/whimper before settling. Leash walking: Great! She typically walks by your side, and has been gentle and friendly in meeting other dogs and people on walks. Dog social: She has been friendly when meeting other dogs on walks Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: She has not interacted with kids closely while in our care, but she has been quiet and polite when passing kids on walks Blizzard likes: - Hot dogs! (hold the ketchup) - Cuddling with her person - Getting complimented on her excellent manners and beauty on walks Blizzard is the sweetest, most gentle, loving dog. She wants nothing other than a good cuddle session and would make a great WFH buddy. She can be nervous at times with new experiences, but has been so brave and is learning that city noises, elevators, and bathtubs aren't so bad! She has been working to be more comfortable when home alone, as once she trusts you, she gets upset when her people leave. She has been doing much better with the help of medication and her adopter should help her continue to work on this as she adjusts to her new home and routine. She would love an adopter who can ensure she gets plenty of mental enrichment as she completes her heartworm treatment. She deserves the world and someone will bring home the best treat - a Blizzard!
