Meet Maddy: Your New Best Friend! 🐾 Maddy is an 8-month-old Shepherd mix, weighing a solid 62.5 lbs, who has made amazing strides in her training. She’s settling into her routine and is becoming more comfortable in her 42” kennel. While she wasn’t always a fan of her crate, Maddy has come a long way and is starting to enjoy it—it’s incredible how much she’s improved! This smart and affectionate girl loves people of all ages, including young children, and she’s been gentle and sweet with them. Maddy is playful without being too much, offering the perfect blend of energy and calm. She enjoys playing with anyone who’s willing, whether it’s another dog or a human buddy. Maddy has made significant improvement in leash walking! Though she still benefits from a harness to keep her secure, she’s becoming more confident and comfortable on her walks. Maddy gets along great with other dogs, with a submissive and friendly personality. She’s very patient, even waiting for other dogs to finish eating before sneaking a nibble from their bowls. She has no aggression issues—whether it’s around food, toys, or people. House-training is still in progress, and Maddy is learning how to tell her humans when she needs to go out, though she can hold her bladder in the kennel during the day. At night, when left out of her crate, she’ll reliably use puppy pads. This pup loves noisy toys—the louder, the better! Mika and Sam’s forever bones are her go-to for chewing. Maddy would thrive in a home where she can be part of the action, whether that’s spending time with her humans or playing with other dogs.
