My story

Cole was found as a stray out by the Oakland Airport. He was thought to be a pregnant female and friendly. He was put in a carrier and we brought him in to be spayed. Turns out he is a neutered male. Since his ear was not tipped and he was friendly we decided to try and find a home for him. While he was in quarantine it was noted that he was struggling to poop and his stomach was tender. He was brought in to emergency and after xrays were taken it was found that he was impacted with stool. It also showed that his pelvis had been fractured and likely hit by a car and his pelvis healed in a way that blocks the flow of stool at times. He had 2 deobstipation procedures to clear him out and is on lactulose twice a day now to keep his stool soft so he can stool normally. Luckily, its sweet and he doesn't mind taking it at all. He is super friendly and loves to be held and loved on. He also likes to be carried. He gets a long with other cats and is really a chill cat.January 30, 2025, 11:36 pm
