My story

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW. IT WILL ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS. If you still have questions after, we are happy to respond through email. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. One of our previous fosters found a mama cat and her 4 kittens eating out of the dumpster at her work site in < Hemet, California. Before trapping them, she reached out if we cold help her. We agreed if she would foster. We had the mama cat scheduled to be fixed. The day before she was due to get fixed, she had a second litter. So apparently she was pregnant before she was trapped. So now her 1st set of kittens are ready for adoption. SHANDRA and her 3 siblings (JACE - AJANI - LILI) are now ready for to to their own FUREVER homes! Meet SHANDRA, a spirited Caliby or Tabico from Hemet, California, whose vibrant personality matches her beautifully patterned fur. With a patchwork of stripes and splashes of orange, white, and brown, SHANDRA is as striking as she is playful. She’s a ball of energy wrapped in a coat full of color and adventure, always ready to explore her surroundings and find new ways to entertain herself. SHANDRA is a little bundle of sass and silliness, making every day an exciting one. Whether she’s chasing a toy across the room or pouncing on imaginary prey, her playful antics will keep you laughing and on your toes. Her adventurous spirit leads her to explore every nook and cranny, and no curtain, box, or shelf is safe from her curiosity. Feisty and full of confidence, SHANDRA loves to show off her daring side, leaping into action with a boldness that’s impossible to resist. But underneath all that sass, she has a sweet and affectionate side. After a long day of romping around, SHANDRA is known to curl up for a cozy nap, often choosing a comfy spot near by. She may be feisty, but she’s also got a big heart and plenty of love to share with a family who enjoys a playful, energetic kitten. SHANDRA’s outgoing and spunky nature makes her a great fit for a home that enjoys a little excitement. Her lively personality means she’ll do well with other cats who can keep up with her antics. SHANDRA is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR/ CALIBY or TABICO. She is about 11 months old and is good with cats. In her foster home, she was around other kittens and her mom. She has never been around children or dogs. SHANDRA is currently at PETSMART *** 25290 Madison Ave, Murrieta, CA 92562 *** ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA, BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP********** MARCH 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 3 pm - 6 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays. ******************* If you call the PETSMART location, please ask them to physically check the cattery door for the current week's VISITING HOURS. ****************** The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated! ************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one available to take calls. ************* If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient. SHANDRA is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Spay FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
