My story

Meet Prissy! This distinguished little lady is 6 years young and is in search of a forever family. She is a mature little chihuahua that brings love without chaos. Her favorite things are a warm lap, a great food, and a warm bed to relax in. She loves her humans is known to follow them throughout the house wherever they go. Prissy is housebroken and crate-trained and gets along great with other dogs. She is not yet cat tested but given her sweet and easy temperament our guess is she would do okay. She does not love the leash so a home with a fenced in yard would be lovely. In terms of medical history Prissy does have a minor heart murmur. Further investigation revealed it was not clinically significant or at risk for greater issue. Interested in becoming this pup’s forever home? For immediate consideration, please fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we DO NOT go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs, one application will be fine. We have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, and your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws . We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions to find our babies the best fit home for them and you. Please do not submit an application if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and the perfect forever home for our dogs. We appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fees cover spay/neuter surgery, full (age appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention and travel expenses. All of our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed. Thank you in advance for your patience with our process and for making adoption YOUR option!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Prissy Cupid-sanctuary, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
