My story

The Foster Writes:Rose is a sweet girly that mainly wants attention and lots of pets. Whenever she is in the apartment all she does is lay by my feet wherever I am. She definitely seems to enjoy shorter walks, but loves to hang out outside at the park just sitting on the grass or on a bench. It does not take much to much to win her over, just a few belly rubs and you'll become her new favorite person.A poem by Rose: If I don't know you I might be shy, but with a slow approach you'll win me over please give it a try. I love belly rubs, pets, and cuddles, and when I'm happy I wiggle my nub in a way that isn't subtle. I might get jumpy, and a little mouthy whenever I get excited, but with treats, patience, and love I can be guided. I spend my free time learning new commands, "sit" is easy, but "leave it" I don't fully understand. I do have to confess that potty/crate training is still a work in progress, but no need to stress since I'm confident all my hard work will result in success! I am so happy to have a foster home, but I long for a family that I can call my own. On the compact side, Rose can scamper up on benches and bunny hop to steal toys out of my bag. She loves treats and will roll over for belly rubs! Could that be you?My #BoroughBreak Buddy Writes: She did so great! She clearly wanted to stay close to me (kept her head close to the backs of my knees for a lot of it). She has a habit of jumping up when excited but she is sweet, affectionate, and gentle. She didn't react to other dogs or birds that we encountered, but she did try to eat things off the ground a few times. She was happy with a leisurely pace and I'm not sure she would like anything more strenuous-she seemed ready for a break by the time I brought her back. She seems like she would like cuddling/laying around the home though. She didn't pull on the leash at all and was very easy to navigate around the streets safely.
