My story

Sammy von Schraden is a beautiful, 12-month-old Shepherd/Husky mix (best guess). With his piercing blue eyes and stunning coat, Sammy is a real sight for sore eyes. He captures attention everywhere he goes, and he loves soaking it all in. You see, Sammy is a very social, enthusiastic pup so he never misses a moment to have some fun, meet new people or make new canine friends. Likely housebroken, Sammy is a manageable size and super sweet - he'll happily climb in your lap and bestow sweet puppy kisses. Walks are one of his favorite pastimes, where he particularly enjoys exploring and strolling along with a group of his puppy pals. Sammy also loves getting out into the doggy yard and romping around with them too, never losing his energy but always being polite. But without fail, after a long day of walks and play, all he’ll want to do is curl up in your lap. We love this sweet, sweet boy and just know you will too. Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
