My story

Meet Potato! At only a year old, he`s already had quite the complicated past and is looking for a fur-ever home to call his own. Originally here as a puppy, he was recently picked up as a stray by a good samaritan who said that he enjoyed playing with other neighborhood animals in the backyard and is very affectionate. His favorite things are stuffies and snacks! He`s content to occupy himself by tossing his stuffies in the air and catching them, so perhaps he was in color guard in a previous life. He enjoys a wide variety of treats and always takes them politely, like a true gentleman. Because shelter life can be very scary and overstimulating, Potato can be a bit shy around new people. He responds very well to baby talk, and he won`t turn down a tasty treat. Once he realizes you`re a friend and not a foe, he`s eager to show you his perfect `sit` and lean in for all of the lovin`s! Ear rubs, chin scratches, belly rubs, he`ll soak `em all up with a cheesy grin on his face. He even gives hugs! If you`ve got room in your heart (and in your bed) come visit Potato any day of the week between noon and 6:30pm! Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home.
