Meet June: A Sweet and Gentle Soul Looking for Her Forever Home! Age: Best guess, 3-4 years old Approximate Weight: 53 lbs Personality & Temperament: June is a sweet, calm, and shy girl who is learning to come out of her shell. As she settles in, she enjoys time with her foster family and fellow furry friends. Her gentle nature makes her the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a lower-maintenance dog that enjoys peace and quiet. Great with Other Dogs: June recently arrived at the Trails Home Farm and has already made several dog friends. She also previously lived harmoniously with both a dog her size and a smaller pup. She gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with another dog to keep her company. Crate Trained: The crate is June's safe haven! She sleeps through the night quietly and is comfortable being left alone without any barking, howling, or whining. It's her go-to spot for relaxation. House/Potty Trained: June is fully housebroken. She has never had any accidents in the house or her crate, making her a well-mannered housemate. Leash Walking: Though she's a beginner, June is improving her leash-walking skills every day. She's a fast learner and enjoys her walks, especially when they're in quieter areas. Activity Level: June's activity level is on the low-to-medium side, though she may just be decompressing from her previous life. She shows signs of playfulness and excitement but isn't as active as you might expect for a hound or beagle mix. She enjoys being outside, but a calm, relaxed pace suits her best. Likes: Meal time and treats (who doesn't?) Chin scratches The company of other dogs Cozy beds Enjoying the outdoors Riding in the car with the wind in her ears! Dislikes/Fears: June is still a little fearful of lots of activity and loud noises, including cars and trucks. A slow, patient approach works best for her as she builds confidence. Good with Cats & Squirrels: June hasn't shown much interest in chasing cats or squirrels. She's pretty laid-back and doesn't seem to have a high prey drive. Kids: June would do best in a home with older, respectful kids who understand her need for space. Younger, more active children might be overwhelming for her right now. Training: June is a fast learner. She knows 'Sit' 'Down' 'touch' and is working on 'come' 'paw' 'stay' and 'gentle' Ideal Home: June would thrive in a calm, low-activity home where her people want a relaxed, easy-going companion. If you're looking for a sweet, lower-maintenance dog who enjoys her quiet time but also wants to share her affection, June might just be your perfect match!
