My story

Boomer is a handsome boy who lived in a home for four years before coming to the shelter. Boomer was reportedly housebroken, crate trained, and loves toys. He can be protective of his people and his space, so needs appropriate introductions to new people. Having a crate where he can hang out when strangers come by will be important in his future home, and he’d likely prefer a lower traffic home. Here’s what staff and volunteers at the shelter have said:“I took Boomer out and he did great! When I approached the kennel, he popped up and gave a gentle kiss through the bars to my offered knuckle. He was relatively easy to leash and not reactive at all on the way out. Once we got to the park he was very interested in all of the smells. We saw a squirrel and he seemed conflicted if he wanted to give chase or not. Once we returned to the kennel, I entered with him and gave him some pets which he seemed to appreciate.”“Today Boomer leashed up nicely, and we had a nice walk. Some occasional pulling, but not much. He sits nicely for treats and takes them gently.”Boomer shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Ask to meet Boomer today!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt BOOMER, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
