My story

Nothing in the whole world is as heartwarming as a special little kitten with a heart of gold. Elliott is just that kitten! This sweet, handsome, young fella was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus at 8 months old- a remarkably young age for diabetes to develop in a cat. The diabetes persisted despite diet modifications, so Elliott is now on twice daily insulin injections. and because he is nearly perfect in every way, he tolerates the injections well and continues to do very well on them. But Elliott is not only to be known as the diabetic kitten, he also wants to be recognized as the superstar he is! Elliott has absolutely enraptured his foster family- he loves everyone that he meets, kids, other cats, and even gentle dogs! He loves to greet his fosters at the door when they return home, meowing and chirping and ready for pets, playtime, and snuggles. Elliott would do best in a home with people who are familiar with how to care for a diabetic kitty, and he would also LOVE to have a fun and active family who can spend lots of time playing with him and giving him all the cuddles he deserves. Another feline companion would be great too, but Elliott could also be just fine as a single pet as long as his people are around to supply all the playtime and cuddles he could ever want. If you are interested in meeting Elliott, please fill out an application on our website: forgottenfelines.com/cat-app

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Elliott, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
