Hoover von Hemau

My story

Hoover von Hemau is a gorgeous, 4–5-year-old German Shepherd. We’re not sure what Hoover’s story is, but we’ve found him to be nothing but a sweet and loving, affectionate boy. Someone in his past introduced him to butt rubs because he can’t seem to get enough of them. He seems to be middle energy and quite smart with some basic obedience skills. He is as happy going on walks as he is being in a canine playgroup – ready to socialize and explore. If you’re looking for a lifetime friend who is past the puppy stage, Hoover may be ideal for you! Mixes are "softer" and somewhat more malleable. Exceptions can be made, however, for first-time adopters who show the confidence and leadership tendencies that purebreds will respect and respond to. Counselors have to use good judgment in assessing the attributes of the adopter, as well as of the dog. If you have doubts, get a second opinion from Robin or another experienced counselor.
