My story

Adoption Event Schedule Events run from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM every month at these locations: 2nd Saturday, Sacramento - Pet Food Express 3rd Saturday, Modesto - PetSmart 4th Saturday, Roseville - Pet Food Express Please visit the GCGSR Rescue Page for specific address information. Adoption Fee:  $300.00 Safari is a 4.5 year old black and tan female. She's a nice size at 62 lbs. She's housebroken and gets along with other dogs and can live with cats. She's a little slow to warm up to new people and therefore hasn't gotten much attention at our events. Once she knows you, she's affectionate and a fun girl to have around. She's a good alarm barker too. She prefers a quiet home. No kids for this girl, as they make her too nervous. Regular exercise and continued socialization will help Safari become the great dog we know she can be. Level 2 Cats and small critters unknown. (https://www.gcgsr.org/adopt_info.html) We operate within a reasonable driving distance from the Greater Sacramento area, the Central Valley down to Merced, and Lake Tahoe. A reasonable driving distance is determined by where one of our volunteers is willing to drive within our areas of service. That means we don't adopt out of our area, to Southern California, or out of state.
