Texas

My story

Texas was about 5 weeks old when he entered our rescue from Maricopa, AZ. He had just been adopted (unknown), but his new owners had a family emergency in Texas. He was tiny but is 15# now Texas has very short hair and is about equal orange tabby and white. He has had the recommended three distemper combo vaccinations, three weeks apart then was neutered and micro-chipped after three months and over 3 pounds. Since he was very small and all belly on arrival, he was dewormed. He had a runny eye, which was treated with antibiotic. He doesn't behave like a dog, but has been started on a leash. Texas was adopted at 4 months old but adopters noticed something in his mouth. He has been treated for eosinophilic complex twice, since. We fear he may have to always be on cyclosporine. It is a poorly understood white blood-cell reaction that sometimes just disappears, but not always. He is otherwise very healthy but loves to chew on boxes. Perhaps his tongue itches? He will be at My Pet Market, Shea and Scottsdale Rd, 2nd and 4th Sundays until adopted, but we place cats in your home. For questions or appointment call or text Susanne 480-694-9998.
