My story

The 2013 film “The Secret life of Walter Mitty” is about an ordinary guy working at a magazine who spends his days dreaming of an adventurous, courageous, exciting life much different than his own. In a turn of events, he makes many of his dreams a reality as he sets off on a quest around the globe in search of a missing film negative. Our very good boy Walter daydreams of going on adventures with his new family and he hopes that YOU can make his dreams a reality!Shelter volunteers love Walter, with one sharing:“Walter is an energetic, playful, friendly little guy! He was super-duper happy to meet me at the kennel door this morning and he sat so nicely to be leashed up. Once we got to the play yard, he ran zoomies around and around and played with a toy that I had brought him. He was so happy to be out and to be able to run and play! After getting his energy out, he made his way over to my lap, sat down and covered me with kisses! This little guy is super affectionate, lovable and full of life! He is an absolute sweetheart!” Walter spent a short time in a foster home where he was described as cuddly, happy, lovable and fun! His foster family shared that he loves to play with (and destroy!) stuffed animals, loves rubber chew toys, and is good at keeping himself entertained. He used a dog door and never had an accident in that home, and he did well when meeting new people.Walter shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful and social when meeting other dogs in playgroup. This high-energy boy would like to meet any potential furry roommates before heading home to ensure a good fit. He has lived with cats as well! Walter takes medications for his anemia and he does need a hip surgery in his future.Walter is a vibrant pup with a zest for life and is ready to dive right into family life with you!
