Personality: calm, loyal, affectionate, gentle, shy, easygoing, patient, snuggler, eager-to-please, and adaptable. ***Jonji gets a lot of confidence from the dogs in his foster home, and his forever home also needs to have another dog companion for him.*** Have you been looking for a gentle soul to fill your days with affection and encouragement? Are you seeking a kind and loving canine who can be both a cuddly couch potato and a frisky play mate for you and your dog? If so, Jonji just might be the pup for you! Whether he's flopping down on his back for belly rubs, snuggling with you on the couch, or demonstrating how excited he is to see you, Jonji is a terrific companion who will help you remember to smell the roses (and fire hydrants) and appreciate the little things in life. Jonji does really well with other dogs both at home and at the dog park, and enjoys being a part of the pack. He is house trained. His confidence is growing every day, but at the moment he is nervous around children and is not a good fit for a home with children under eight years old. He would also do best in a quiet neighborhood where he can explore at his own pace. A home with a confident dog will help show Jonji the world is not such a scary place. If you are looking for an affectionate, fun-loving, and adventurous companion who will bring joy into your life, apply today to meet Jonji! Bob Branick made it possible to save Jonji. ____________________________________________________________________________ If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. Learn more, see our list of dogs needing foster, and apply, https://www.citydogsrescuedc.org/foster-a-city-dog.html City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP,Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jonji, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
