My story

Personality: calm, loyal, affectionate, gentle, shy, easygoing, patient, snuggler, eager-to-please, and adaptable. ***Jonji gets a lot of confidence from the dogs in his foster home, and his forever home also needs to have another dog companion for him.*** Have you been looking for a gentle soul to fill your days with affection and encouragement? Jonji does really well with other dogs both at home and at the dog park, and enjoys being a part of the pack. He is house trained. His confidence is growing every day, but at the moment he is nervous around children and is not a good fit for a home with children under eight years old. He would also do best in a quiet neighborhood where he can explore at his own pace. A home with a confident dog will help show Jonji the world is not such a scary place. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP,Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
